Some lipsticks are worth splurging for.

To celebrate the end of 2015, I would like to share my most-loved high-end lipsticks of the year. They thrive in terms of pigmentation, longevity and versatility. I can wear them all year-round and these babies suit most skin tones.

You may be able to find cheaper dupes for them, but the formulae wouldn’t quite turn out the same. So, let’s go to the list.

1. MAC lipstick in Peachstock ($17)

mac peachstock

This has been my absolute most-used lipstick in 2015 and 2014 and 2013. I feel like it’s made just for me. It’s the perfect nude, matte lipstick for night out.

2. YSL Rouge Volupte in No.8 ($36)

This baby makes me feel like a living barbie doll. It’s such a sweet pink, a tad warmer than Mac’s Saint Germain. It’s so creamy and last for 6 hours.

3. DIOR Rouge Dior in 813 5th Avenue ($35)

I’m all about channeling 1920’s. The embellished flapper dresses, the  pearl necklaces, lacey intricate hairband, and the dark lips. This lipstick reminds me of that era. If I could (have the confidence and not a care in the world), I would wear this shade everyday.

4. MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense in No.30 ($20)

This is the perfect neutral lipstick that suits all occasions. It’s a matte, neutral mauve-brown shade that complements my skin even when I’m not wearing any makeup. If you are a beginner to Kylie Jenner lipstick, this is a great lipstick you can try.

5. CHANEL Rouge Allure in 104 Passion ($35)

This is the perfect blue-undertone red lipstick for me. I feel like my face looks paler when I apply this. And it makes me feel like a million bucks. And Chanel’s lipstick lasts the longest on the lips. Other favourite red lipstick of mine is Chanel’s Gabrielle.

6. CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN Velvet Matte Lip Colour 705 Just Nothing ($90)

Now I’m all for drugstore lipstick, and at first I was like ‘What?$100 for a piece of this? Na ah. I’m out’. BUT, when I finally saw the real thang on the display, I just couldn’t resist this piece of luxurious IT item. Besides I was curious on what makes it so expensive, what’s so special about it (other than the out-of-world packaging and fancy black box). I decided to get it and let me tell you, it’s beautiful. I will make a separate review post on this, trying to justify my way out of spending much money for a lipstick. The pigmentation and shade is sexy though, ain’t it?

That’s all for this post. I hope you enjoy it and maybe find what you like.

Thank you so much for reading!

Cheers to good vibes XOXO
